Funky Cells was founded by Dr. Martin LARSEN in 2012. Funky Cells is devoted to deliver software packages to facilitate the analysis of Big Data within the field of biology, more specifically immunology. The main data type processed at present is multidimensional flow cytometry data.
Our software includes patented algorithms for quantifying cellular polyfunctionality developed by Dr. Martin LARSEN as part of his academic carrier. (Larsen et al. PLoS One 2012 and Boyd et al. PLoS One 2015). You can read more about the academic work of Dr. Martin Larsen here.
Credits
The software package of Funky Cells is the result of many years work by Dr. Martin LARSEN. However, FunkyCells software would not be a reality without the great help of numerous technical experts and test users. We gratefully acknowledge their contributions.
Technical experts:
Dr. Jacob Thorhauge : Helped develop the very first prototype of our boolean data miner software module.
Rolf Mortensen : Helped create the website.
